My Story

Roméo Calenda is an acting coach and casting director with six years of experience in the French film industry. Trained as an acting coach by Elise McLeod, he joined CME Acting in 2020 as a full coach. Since 2024, he has also worked freelance at Zone 34, stepping in as a substitute coach, and since November 2025 he has been leading weekly four-hour training sessions for actors in small groups.

In his coaching practice, Roméo works with actors both on their ongoing training and on the preparation of specific roles and projects. Most recently, he has coached actress Veronika Vasilyeva Rije across several projects, including her preparation for the role she landed in Louise Bourgoin’s short film, selected for the ADAMI Talents programme at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.

Alongside his coaching work, Roméo has worked as a casting director since 2019, serving as a department head across a wide range of fiction projects, including both short and feature films, and collaborating with independent producers and emerging filmmakers. His feature film credits include Quarxx’s Pandemonium (2024) and Les Âmes en Peine (2026), as well as Ludovic Giraud’s L’Aigle de la Route (2026), produced by Agat Films & Ex Nihilo.
