My Story

 

Mar Isern is an actress, acting coach, and intimacy coach with experience supporting
actors in film and television, involved in the creative process from early development
through to shooting.

As an acting coach, she works from the casting stage, collaborating in the selection of
performers and identifying profiles with emotional depth and a strong on-camera
presence. She supports the cast throughout rehearsals and maintains a continuous
presence on set, providing daily follow-up and adjusting performances in response to
the needs of each scene and the director’s approach.

She has experience working with both professional actors and non-professional
performers, developing specific methodologies for each case. Her work focuses on
building listening, connection between actors, and creating the conditions for truthful,
consistent, and sustainable performances throughout the shoot.

As an intimacy coach, she coordinates intimate scenes through a structured approach
based on consent, communication, and safety protocols. She integrates this work from
the rehearsal stage, establishing clear boundaries, choreographing scenes, and
ensuring a professional environment where vulnerability can be approached in a
controlled and respectful way.

She worked as acting coach and intimacy coach on the feature film Iván & Hadoum,
directed by Ian de la Rosa, where she led a two-month rehearsal process and supported
the cast throughout the shoot, including work with non-professional actors. The film
premiered at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), where it received the
Teddy Award for Best Feature Film, and continued its festival run in Málaga, where the
lead actor, Silver Chicos, received a Special Mention for his performance, highlighting
the strength of the acting work developed in the project.

She is currently continuing her collaboration with Ian de la Rosa on his next feature film,
maintaining a working approach focused on rehearsal-based development and the
integration of intimacy coordination within the creative process.

As an actress, she has appeared in television projects such as Red Flags, Nudes, and
Com si fos ahir, as well as in the feature film Mala Influencia.
