I'm Scotty Gannon

Currently living and working in Montreal QC, Scotty Gannon coaches actors in Canada and major markets in The United States. Originally from the growing Atlanta market where he owns Gannon Performance Studio LLC, he works with actors that have worked on HBO, NBC, CBS, ABC, Marvel, Disney, Tyler Perry Studio, Warner Brothers, American Film Company, 20th Century Fox, regional and national commercials, independent films, and regional theaters. Actors of all levels seek him out from series regulars and feature film leads to pre-professionals. 

His coaching and teaching integrates newer, lesser-known approaches as well as borrowing from Strasberg, Meisner, Laban, Boleslavski, Chekhov, Hagen, accessing emotion via breath, primal human conditions, and improvisation. Much of his work utilizes trauma-informed approaches for personalization and vulnerability for film and television actors. In addition to coaching actors, he helps writers/ directors discover depth, explore plot and character arcs, and narrative development for their projects. In addition, he aids actors with self-tapes, auditions, marketing materials, navigating the industry, script analysis, exploring roles in pre-production, and career planning.

Scotty is also a director, writer, and theater artist and holds memberships to the Michael Chekhov Association and National Alliance of Acting Teachers. He has a Master of Fine Arts in Acting.
