My Story

EN

VERNICE KLIER is an internationally respected coach who has been sought out by top agents, directors and producers to coach their clients/casts, for over four decades.  Since the beginning of her coaching career her clients have included the biggest, award winning, stars in the business.  A few of the awards won by her clients include, Best Actor for BLUE at the Venice Film Festival, Best Actor for CERTIFIED COPY at Cannes, and Best Supporting Actress Oscar for THE ENGLISH PATIENT.  Vernice has worked to prepare her clients for filming, as well as worked with them on-set, on over eighty International feature films.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vernice has been coaching actors for their self-tape auditions, as well as conducting classes teaching acting skills specific to self-tapes at TDP (NAAT) in LA, when working on the HBO series, WESTWORLD.

She has given Master Classes all over the world, including places as diverse as Turkey and Bulgaria, for some of their country’s leading actors.  She has also served on juries for several major international film festivals.

As a young actor, Vernice was the first woman to graduate from Ringling Bros. College of Clowns.  She is also a graduate of the School of Mime Marceau and spent years working directly with Etienne Decroux, renowned teacher for Marcel Marceau and Jean-Louis Barrault.  That work often proved instrumental in her work with actors, especially as it related to movement for theatre and film.  She studied psychology at and was awarded her teaching certificate for Art (K-12), from Goddard College in Vermont.  Vernice has given workshops in Paris since 2004.  Although a successful coach she has never ceased observing classes and workshops all over the world in order to familiarize herself with contemporary methods of acting, always wanting to be on the cutting edge of the professional world she’s preparing her clients for.

Vernice’s extensive toolbox also includes painting, writing, accent reduction, script and scene analysis, and Stand-Up.
